Visuals are beautiful. Not sure why the guy hops 3 feet forward in the opening in less than a frame, but the visuals are appealing.

However, the sound is painful to listen to. Audio is way more important than visuals.

rotimiolowu responds:

thank you, we are working on getting better sound quality and the next season will definitely look even better visually.

This is adorable and the animation is spot on. The voice acting and characterization is near perfect, and the visuals look like TV quality animation.

I especially like when the purple and red characters are ignoring the green guy in the kitchen, and the camera movement mimics that dynamic.

My only suggestion would be paying more attention to the framing- when they're talking over the Ouija board, the green guy is crammed too far to screen right, with all the dead space behind him.

jerbjpg responds:

Thanks for the thoughtful comment! I had issues framing the ouiji board scene because there was a lot of cheating with character movement I needed to do. But I agree, it could have looked better
:)

Seriously impressive! It's been fun seeing the updates in the Flash Holes FB group.

My two suggestions would be:

-The train looks too 3D. Try and find a way to blend it in more naturally with the background
- In general, I'm sure these clips take a long long time, but I would say waiting till you have the bulk of it ready to go gives it more punch when you release it.

Seriously, though. Super, super impressive. How long do these shots take?

ibrabdo responds:

thx man, all backgrounds will be painted and the characters cleaned-up and got shadow and highlight, the 3d scene will have painted textures and have a heavily VFX in after effects to have the 2D feelings that the 2d painted backgrounds have (or at least that s the plan), it is taking a long time and even longer for finalizing one shot, and i really appreciate ur advise of releasing a bigger and longer parts at once, which u r right about that, but since im doing the whole thing alone and in my free time with a fulltime job plus freelancing so the production time will take even longer, and that why im just releasing them as an updates and it will be cool the have people following the project process if there is any.

Funny idea.

Show, don't tell. Showing the masturbator's horrified or guilty reaction would have been way funnier than just saying "This is how to feel... Just Kidding!"

I like the way you animated the cum. The technique has potential.

Keep it up!

artistunknown responds:

Mmm, yeah, good point. I felt like presenting it as a fake anti-masturbation PSA though, so the text was more fitting. Now that I think about it though, showing the masturbator's reaction AND having the text would have also worked.

Also, I still showed instead of told, at least when it came to conveying the story of the cartoon. Well, what little story there was anyways. Pretty much nothing about what happens is actually explained in the cartoon, there's only an explanation if you read the short description :p.

And yeah, it was fun making the cum look more like cum. Was easy too, I just painted white blobs in flash as the base animation and then went into photoshop and erased bits of the white with a soft eraiser, resulting in that look. Unfortunately, this method involved having to re-import the frames back into flash, and flash couldn't handle importing 200+ images, so I had to compile the animation AGAIN in sony vegas. A few hours were wasted trying to import the images into flash, but other than that, this was fun to work on and everything went smoothly.

Thanks for the review!

Fantastic work, especially for 7 hours. It's funny, well staged and actually has moral of sorts (whether intentional or not). Did you plan it out/write/storyboard ahead of time, or did you make it all up on the fly?

aap responds:

Made everything up as I animated along. Planning takes too much time. :) Thanks!

I gave it a 3 because it stopped working

I LOVED IT until it stopped playing.

Very funny with the glue joke and the whole premise, and pretty good for your first NG flash

The animation was no worse than southpark, and I especially loved the part where he turned his head to kiss the drawing. very good animation there. You have my permission to bug me by Private message when you make a new one lol

Keep it up!

dogsinthecathouse responds:

thanks, I happen to be a huge South Park fan, so I'll take that comment on the animation as a compliment! :-)
I need to figure out how to keep it from freezing. Feel free to send me a P.M. giving me tips on how I could fix the problem

excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great use of elongated inbetweens, color, text, and cute story

ardystic responds:

Lol! Thanks alot. I know alot of Mario sprite movies are being made, and I agree, they should be stopped, but this one was just so original.
